Operating Room Nurse

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.

- Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in their condition
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV infusions and pain management protocols.

- Document all aspects of patient care accurately in electronic health records (EHR) system.

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing; ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
- Experience in an Operating Room setting is required.
- Proficient in aseptic technique, medication administration, and patient assessment. Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medical documentation practice.
- Familiarity with EMR system.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to HIPAA regulations. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Surgical Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in surgical procedures and patient care, with experience in various medical settings. This role is critical in supporting surgeons and ensuring that surgical operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
- Assists in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established Federal, State, and accreditation standards and center policies and procedures.
- Assist in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care during surgeries.
- Perform data collection and maintain accurate medical records using EMR/EHR systems, including SIS.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and assist with patient positioning before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
- Provide support in various surgical specialties including but not limited to hospital medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, and critical care.
- Assist with suturing and other surgical tasks as directed by the surgeon.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with hospital standards.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of hospital/ASC operating room experience desired.
- Current BLS is required.

Responsibilities

- Demonstrates competence in the performance of duties and responsibilities related to tasks, skills, and procedures rendered to the clients served.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and assess their condition post-surgery or procedure.
- Administer medications and manage IV infusions as per physician orders.
- Provide acute pain management and support for patients undergoing various treatments, including botulinum toxin treatment and dialysis.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility standards.
